It’s Friday again! The weeks go by so fast but we don’t mind because it means we get to share our top feel-good stories of the week!
If the Shoe Fits…

A police officer from the Tukwila, Washington Police Department was patrolling a nearby park earlier this week when he noticed a boy running around in torn up, dirty socks. The sergeant noticed he was bleeding from his foot and patched him up with a first aid kit. After asking the boy where his shoes were, he responded that he didn’t have any because the pair he once had no longer fit him. The sergeant left and returned not only with a new pair of shoes for the boy, but popsicles for him and his friends!
A Win-Win

France won its second World Cup this year with the help of 19-year-old Kylian Mbappe. After this huge win, Kylian announced that he will be donating all of his earnings from the tournament to Premiers de Cordee, a charity that gives free sports instruction to hospitalized and disabled children. Kylian tallied up a total of $22,000 per game, on top of the $350,000 bonus for winning the tournament which means the young soccer star donated just about $550,000 to charity! Talk about a winner.
For the Kids

Kimberly Bermudez was on a flight to visit her parents in Florida when she struck up a conversation with a fellow passenger. Kimberly, who is a teacher, was asked what her greatest challenge is when it comes to her job. She responded that working at a low-income school can be heartbreaking as many of the children are homeless and often come to school hungry and without basic necessities. Suddenly, she felt a tap on her shoulder. The man behind her apologized for eavesdropping on her conversation and handed her $500. Suddenly passengers from all aisles were handing her cash. Kimberly plans to use the money to buy books her students can keep at home, along with backpacks and other school supplies.
You may not always get the opportunity to make a grand gesture, but remember that even the smallest good deed can make a world of difference in someone’s life. Have a great weekend!
